Title: Environmental Health Agent I-20
Position: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Annual Salary Range: $61,250 to $76,811

Needham seeks an Environmental Health Agent to provide public health services and to enforce State/Fed Environmental and Sanitary Codes, Town by-laws, and Board of Health Regulations.

Board of Health appointed to promote, direct & enhance public health.  Duties:  enforce rules and regulations of the Board of Health, MaDPH and MaDEP;  perform administrative and technical duties in accordance with applicable policies and regulations;  ensure customer service, legal compliance, Board support and resource management; conduct inspections & investigations for compliance with Title 5, food code, housing code, curbside recycling, closed landfill maintenance, public health nuisances, Board of Health EP, HHW and any relevant public health and safety codes; oversee and direct the PT health inspector and PT clerical staff;  prepare and oversee annual department budget.

Requirements: must be able to explain and enforce public health codes to the public while working impartially; work collaboratively with other departments; excellent communication, organization and computer skills.  B.S. in public/environmental health or 5 years experience, RS, CHO, Certified Food Manager, SE and SI a plus.
